How to Change the File Permission in cPanel?

There are three type of permissions for a file in cPanel, they are

  1. Read
  2. Write
  3. Execute

Every file has permissions to control ,which who can Read, Write and Execute that file. When we creating files these permissions are assigned to be default for every file.Sometimes we need to change these file permissions of a file for installation and updation process. Follow the steps for changing the file permissions of a file.

Step 1 – Login into cPanel.

Step 2 – Click on File Manager under file section.

Step 3 – Select a file to change the permissions.

Step 4 – Click on  Change Permission button on the right top.

Step 5 – Change the permissions and click on to Change permissions.
